When software tells you how your family's ceremony works, it is making a claim about your culture. Most event platforms avoid that responsibility by offering a blank template. We took the opposite route, which means we have to be right, and reachable when we are not.
Every planning tool we tried treated a wedding as a single template with a language switch on top. A Gusaba in Kigali, a Kwanjula in Kampala, an Owambe in Lagos and a Lobola in Johannesburg do not share a guest structure, a negotiation, a sequence or a vocabulary. They are not variations. They are different events that happen to end in a marriage.
So families do the translation themselves, in a WhatsApp group and a spreadsheet, and the knowledge lives with whichever aunt remembers it. That is the gap Keza was built to close.
